Cookie policy

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We keep them to a minimum. The site works without any optional cookies, and our own visitor statistics don't use cookies at all.

Strictly necessary

The site needs these to work, so they don't need your consent.

• uib_geo: the country your connection comes from, so we show the right shops. It lasts one day.
• uib_country: the country you picked in the country menu, if you changed it. It lasts one year.
• uib_consent: your cookie choice, so we don't ask you again. It lasts six months, then we ask again.
• Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check on our forms, may store information to tell people from bots.
• Sign-in cookies for our own staff when they sign in to manage the site.

Stored in your browser without cookies

• uib_popup_seen: remembers when you last saw one of our pop-up messages, so we don't show it again too soon. It holds only a date.
• uib_ref: if you arrived from a QR code or short link in one of our books, this remembers the code until you close the tab, so a sign-up is credited to the right book.

Analytics and marketing, only with your consent

These load only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

• Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga to count visits and see how people move around the site.
• The Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel set cookies such as _fbp and _ttp so we can measure our adverts on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Changing your choice

Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to change your choice at any time. You can also delete cookies in your browser's settings. For more about how we use personal information, read our privacy policy.
